Anti-Wrinkle Treatment in Brentwood: Our Receptionist Amanda Shares Her Experience

When you call or walk into 65Beauty, Amanda is often the first person you meet. In this article, Amanda from our reception team shares her own experience of anti-wrinkle treatment, and our nurse-led team explains what the treatment is, who it may suit and what happens at your appointment.

This video uses an AI-generated version of Amanda's voice and likeness, made with her consent. The treatment footage is real and used with consent.

"Have you actually had it?"

Amanda says it is the question she is asked most often at the front desk. Her answer is simple: yes, she has had anti-wrinkle treatment, and she has been really happy with it.

What she noticed was that her fine lines and expression lines looked softer, so she looked fresher and more rested, while her face still moved naturally. That natural movement mattered to her. As she puts it, the treatment is nurse-led and always starts with a proper consultation, so it is tailored to your face.

Amanda is part of our reception team, not a clinician. She is sharing her personal experience as a client, not giving medical advice. Every decision about treatment is made with one of our nurses at a face-to-face consultation.

What is anti-wrinkle treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatment involves small, carefully placed injections that relax specific facial muscles. It is most often used for expression lines, the lines that form when we frown, squint or raise our eyebrows. By softening the muscle activity behind those lines, the treatment can help the skin above them look smoother.

The medicine used is prescription-only. That is one reason every treatment at 65Beauty begins with a face-to-face consultation with a qualified practitioner, who assesses whether it is appropriate for you before anything is prescribed.

The aim at our clinic is a natural result: softer lines, with expression kept. Results vary from person to person, and the effect is temporary, so it is something you would discuss with your practitioner over time.

Who it may suit

Anti-wrinkle treatment may suit adults who are bothered by fine lines and expression lines and who want a subtle, refreshed look rather than a dramatic change. It is not right for everyone. Your practitioner will ask about your medical history, any medicines you take and what you are hoping for, and will check suitability at a consultation.

There are situations where treatment may not be appropriate, for example during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions. If it is not the right option for you, your practitioner will tell you honestly. Treatment is for adults aged 18 and over.

What happens at your appointment

Your visit starts with a consultation. Your practitioner will:

  • Talk through your concerns and what you would like to change

  • Look at how your face moves when you make different expressions

  • Review your medical history and confirm whether treatment is suitable

  • Explain what to expect, including possible side effects, so you can make an informed decision

If you decide to go ahead and treatment is appropriate, the area is cleansed and a small number of injections are given using a very fine needle. Most people describe a brief scratch or pinch. The appointment itself is usually quick, and our nurse-led team will take the time to answer your questions.

After your treatment

It is common to have some mild redness, small bumps or slight swelling at the injection points, which usually settle within a short time. Some people notice minor bruising. The effect develops gradually over the following days rather than straight away.

Your practitioner will talk you through aftercare before you leave, which typically includes avoiding rubbing the treated area and avoiding strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. If you have any concerns afterwards, you can contact the clinic.

Common questions

Will I still look like me?

That was important to Amanda too. The approach at 65Beauty is to soften lines while keeping natural movement. Your practitioner will tailor the plan to your face and talk through what is realistic for you.

Does it hurt?

Most people feel a brief sharp scratch with each injection. Comfort levels differ, so let your practitioner know if you feel anxious and they will talk you through each step.

Can Amanda tell me if it is right for me?

Amanda can share her own experience and help you book, but suitability is always assessed by a qualified practitioner at a consultation.

How long does it last?

The effect is temporary and varies between people. Your practitioner will explain what to expect for you.
