Jawline Filler in Brentwood: Amanda From Our Reception Team on Her Own Experience

3 min read

Amanda from our reception team has had dermal filler along her jawline, and it is a treatment she is often asked about. In this article she shares her own experience, and our nurse-led team explains what jawline filler is, who it may suit and why every treatment starts with an assessment of your face.

This video uses an AI-generated version of Amanda's voice and likeness, made with her consent. The treatment footage is real and used with consent.

Amanda's experience

Amanda works on our front desk, so she is usually the first person clients speak to. She has had dermal filler along her jawline herself, and she says she is really happy with the definition it has given her.

What mattered to her was looking like herself. As Amanda puts it, our nurses assess your face first, so you still look like you, just more refreshed.

Amanda is part of our reception team, not a clinician. She is sharing her personal experience as a client, not giving medical advice. Whether jawline filler is right for you is always decided with one of our nurses at a face-to-face consultation.

What is jawline filler?

Dermal fillers used at 65Beauty are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in your skin. When carefully placed along the jaw, filler can help create a clearer, more defined line, without surgery.

Jawline filler is about shape and balance rather than size. The jaw sits alongside the chin and cheeks, so your practitioner looks at your whole face, not one area in isolation, when deciding whether treatment would suit you and how much might be appropriate.

Results vary from person to person. Hyaluronic acid filler is not permanent, as the body gradually breaks it down over time. Your practitioner will talk you through what is realistic for your face.

Who it may suit

Jawline filler may suit adults who would like a little more definition along the jaw and prefer a non-surgical option. It is not right for everyone. Your practitioner will ask about your medical history, any medicines you take, previous treatments and what you hope to achieve, and will check suitability at a consultation.

There are times when filler may not be appropriate, for example during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain medical conditions, or where there is active skin infection in the area. If it is not the right option for you, your practitioner will say so and may suggest an alternative, or no treatment at all. Treatment is for adults aged 18 and over.

What happens at your appointment

Every appointment starts with a face-to-face consultation with one of our nurses. Your practitioner will:

  • Ask what you would like to change and why

  • Assess your jawline in relation to your chin, cheeks and overall facial proportions

  • Review your medical history and confirm whether treatment is suitable

  • Explain the procedure, possible side effects and aftercare, so you can make an informed decision

If you decide to go ahead and treatment is appropriate, the skin is cleansed and the filler is placed using a fine needle or cannula. You will be able to ask questions at every step, and you never need to decide on the day.

After your treatment

It is common to have some swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising along the treated area for a few days. The jaw may feel slightly firm to the touch at first. These effects usually settle on their own.

Your practitioner will talk you through aftercare before you leave. General advice often includes avoiding touching or massaging the area unless advised, and avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas and heat for 24 to 48 hours. If anything concerns you afterwards, please contact the clinic.

Common questions

Will I still look like me?

That was important to Amanda. The approach at 65Beauty is to work with your natural features so you look refreshed, not changed. Your practitioner will tailor the plan to your face.

Is jawline filler surgery?

No. It is a non-surgical treatment using injectable hyaluronic acid filler, carried out in clinic after a consultation.

Can Amanda tell me if it will suit me?

Amanda can share her own experience and help you book, but suitability is always assessed by a qualified practitioner at a consultation.

How long does it last?

Filler is not permanent and how long it lasts varies between people. Your practitioner will explain what to expect for you.

You can read more about dermal fillers on our Dermal Fillers page.
